Went on to view our analytics and instead of a nice warm welcoming average # of viewers I got a slap in the face -_-
Google analytics has tampered with our numbers and falsified our analytics. This is a sad display of tyrannical business practice.
Unhappy. We will be finding a solution. Stay tuned for changes.
Rant over.
Give 'em H-E double toothpicks!
I doubt it. Many gun channels assumed that YT was after them by cutting their $$$ and then I see other non gun channels explaining that large corps quit advertising on YT & it hurt everyone. Kacie, Lew & Rex, it will be your happy customers that will carry your biz, & make it successful no matter the vehicle. Rex's 100+k subscribers on YT is a great launch but they can't put that paste back in the tube. - That's a million conversations happening around the world, like the gun store I just left. : )
here else will people find a wholesome, smart, God fearing young woman, who doesn't pimp her beauty like the Hollywood bimbos? - Just keep learning the L.A.M.P. Stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP... What the internet is built on) & applying your craft, love God & love your neighbor, everything will be great. We win 🏆🇺🇸👊🙏😇📚
It sounds like more than tyrannical business practice, sounds like an effort to censor RexReviews or, at the least, discourage us.
I agree with DivergentDelta, the RexReviews community will always support RexReviews no matter what the venue is!
Take it as a compliment! haha.
Seriously though, I'm not entirely sure its a bad thing for Google to be choking off random traffic. I think it will keep riff raff and turkeys out. People are going to have to want to be here. Only those who are motivated and serious will find the sites. Then, they have to pass the bible test to make sure they are mature enough to stay involved when a scripture or two might sneak into discussion occasionally. I think organic references will expand a lot, netting much better results in the long run.
The Internet is loaded with people asking questions about long range precision rifles and shooting, and Rex's Sniper 101 videos have about become a staple in that community. They stand strong on their own. Every day I see posts about technique, ballistics, equipment and everything that Rex addressed a long time ago. The clipboard on my phone is full of links to the Sniper 101 series that I have copied and referred to people. If shooters watch a few videos in the future they will remember the distinctive Tiborasaurus Rex from that time they asked a question about bore erosion and got linked to two or three videos that teach them exactly what is going on in there. I bet they would be much more inclined to watch all 101 and hear about and join the forum/podcast.
These clicks will be high quality and much more likely to stick around and be involved in the project or even take a class.
I tend to think the 'biker gang' will be quite a bit stronger for going through these couple of simple refinements.
EDIT: P.S. I just caught the podcast. I didn't even think of being able to show prospective sponsors the reach of the site. That is a pretty bad deal.
I used to own a SCUBA business is PR. 95% of my customers were tourists from the US. Our entire marketing strategy revolved around our web site and Trip Advisor reviews. The IT folks who set everything up for me concentrated 100% on site analytics and how to focus web content to maximize google search results. All that being said, knowing that Google manipulates data to punish or otherwise effect the marketplace for political opponents is CRIMINAL! They could have easily "punished" my SCUBA company (read that taken money from my pocket) for some reason like we were not "green" enough, or some other politically motivated topic of the day.
Un f'n believable.
end rant.
Blood Pressure returning to normal.....
I'm willing to help out.
This issue is now resolved :) we are tracking our numbers effectively! Thanks everyone for the sentiments ^_^
Great news! I appreciated the righteous fury in the podcast and I'm glad you're on our side!
Ok Google, don't tread on our webmaster!
Still listening through the last podcast, so long, so good =)
I didn't mean just help out with this issue, but whatever the crew needs. Linked in profile here; https://www.linkedin.com/in/kaytravis/
I'm no tech guru-kinda surprised that I even found Rex on YouTube- but do you mind telling us what the fix was? Perhaps someone at Google was listening to the podcast and decided not to incur the further wrath of Kacie Day?
Are the numbers looking better?
