Just figured I'd go ahead and post my results from the political spectrum tests from episode 10 on the podcast.

From Wikipedia, for what it's worth; " The politicalcompass.org website does not reveal the people behind it, beyond the fact that it seems to be based in the UK;[17][18] at the bottom of any page on the website, it is stated that the Political Compass's copyright belongs to an organisation named "Pace News Limited."[4] According to The New York Times, the site is the work of Wayne Brittenden, a political journalist.[2] According to Tom Utley, writing in The Daily Telegraph, the site is connected to One World Action, a charity founded by Glenys Kinnock.[14] An early version of the site was published on One World Action's web server.[15] ".
Also from Wikipedia, One World Action is a charity affiliated with Solidar. " SOLIDAR is a European network of NGOs working to advance social justice in Europe and worldwide. SOLIDAR voices the concerns of its member organisations to the EU and international institutions across the policy sectors of social affairs, international cooperation, and lifelong learning.SOLIDAR has 60 member organisations based in 27 countries (22 of which are EU countries), and is active in 90 countries worldwide. Member organisations are national NGOs in Europe, as well as some non-EU and EU-wide organisations, working in one or more relevant fields. The network is brought together by its shared values of solidarity, social equality, and participation.SOLIDAR works in cooperation with its members, trade unions, political institutions, and civil society actors. SOLIDAR aims to influence policy at the EU and international levels, and link members together to learn from each other and help them carry out projects. The organisation is affiliated with the Progressive Alliance.[1]"
Very oddly worded questions.

Yeah, Some of the questions felt like a "set up"; was still fun though.
I enjoyed listening to the conversation and banter on the podcast!

I suspect that most folks who are fans of Rex and CO. are pro-freedom, pro-constitution. I put the podcast on pause and did the survey, then listened to the rest of the segment. The discussion on why each person chose the answer they did was very interesting and informative. Great fun, actually!
After the segment was over, I looked up what I posted earlier, and my first thought was, " Ah, so that's why the questions were worded the way they were. The folks in the E. U. think a little differently than us Americans".
Not a very good survey for capturing the nuances of an individual's thought processes, but interesting, none the less.
Could Lew be the next Ghandi in his next life? Or will he be damned for killing and eating hamsters when the world goes over the brink?

I'm thinking that "survey" has carefully worded questions to steer answers where the organization wants them. I took it myself, and that's the vibe I got. Thataway it can be stated, "Studies show that the majority of people beleive/want _____."
As for hamsters, those little suckers seem like a lot of work to eat for very little gain. Kind of like eating celery. You won't recoup the energy expended in accessing the nutritional value when you eat it. A bite or two and it's gone.

While taking this test, as you heard in the podcast, we were all quite skeptical of the questions. The test seems to have an agenda of it's own.

The questions presume you are a staist, since they put you there either way you answer the question. There was no way to answer so many of them. I wound up a little more libertarian than Jordan P, when in reality I would have been off the chart on the bottom center.
