I was commenting on Rex's video on DMR rifles. I too am a fan of the fn fal but I was wondering of anyone on this site has experience with or what their thoughts would be on a few rifles that I have been contemplating. S&W M&P 10, Savage MSR longrange, Diamondback db 10 - in 6.5 creedmore. If anyone has experience with these rifles I would love to hear your feedback or just your thoughts to keep the discussion going. Shalom.

I'm thinking of doing a 6.5cm semi auto build myself. I'm curious if I can make a DMR style rifle that takes advantage of the creedmoors lack of reliance on MV to get by with a shorter barrel. I don't dig the the .308 in a short barrel so I'm curious to see how a short barrel cm runs
Well I can’t comment on a short creedmor but I can comment on a 12.5” barreled 6.5 Grendel. With 129 accubonds LRs my bullets expand reliably out to 650 yards and stay supersonic out to 950. I’ve onky taken it out to 700 yards, but it’s honestly to easy. Great handy rifle.....errr I mean pistol. Those 6.5’s never slow down.
Just finished a 6.5 Grendel build myself. Not a clone of, but inspired by the Mk12 SPR. 18" rifle length barrel. Just got a couple bugs worked out with an extraction issue. Now need to take it to the range and dial it in. Decent power for anything deer-sized and smaller, virtually zero recoil, incredible max effective range for it's size, and that 6PPC based accuracy. What's not to love?
The magazines have always been the Achilles heal of the Grendel.
I am finding this out. First mags I tried were a complete bust. Just tried an "AR Stoner" 25 rounder from Midway and it has been... Decent?
Waiting on a couple "legit" Alexander Arms mags to show up and see how they go.
Real AA grendel mags feed flawlessly. Must have the grendel follower.
