I was a bit behind on the podcasts and just caught up. I'd like to hear Rex toltally geak out with his opinoins on why, who, and how it all went down. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to here Rex and the crew dive deeper in to what happend that day!

Kennedy Assassination
Kennedy Assassination

I just watched a very interesting documentary about the JFK assassination. Can't remember what channel I saw it on. They took all the home movie footage and applied modern analytics to it frame by frame. Basically worked out that, like Rex said, yes Lee Harvey Oswald could have fired all three shots. I had believed for a long time that two shots were fired simultaneously, but in fact three shots were fired several seconds apart. Given the close range and timing, it wouldn't be all that difficult to accomplish.
Each assassination record shall be publicly disclosed in full, and available in the Collection no later than the date that is 25 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, unless the President certifies, as required by this Act, that –
(i) continued postponement is made necessary by an identifiable harm to military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement or conduct of foreign relations; and
(ii) the identifiable harm is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in disclosure.
The Act was signed by President Bush on October 26, 1992, thus the final release date is October 26, 2017.*
I can think of only two reasons for an officially sanctioned coverup like that. The first being it was perpetrated by a foreign government and therefore and act of war. Which we could not afford WW3. The other being an "inside job".
I can understand keeping military secrets and intelligence secrets classified, but this situation reeks of scandal. "I know more than I think you should." is not a reason to keep the facts about our president being assassinated secret.
All of the actors in this play are no longer alive. It's a toss-up as to why the long delay. But as stated in the podcast, there's been plenty of time to "lose" or fake any records. It may still be an interesting read.
I agree with Geoff. It will be an interesting read regardless of what may or may not have been destroyed. I am sure there are many conspiracy theorists anxiously awaiting the release date as well.
Yeah it willl be interesting to see what is released. If it was a cover up I'm still impressed at how well they did by doing such a sloppy job.
As stated above, POTUS could have blocked the release of the papers, but: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-says-hell-allow-kennedy-assassination-files-to-be-released/ar-AAtNJa8
Well today is the day that it "all comes out"
After five years has gone by, the FBI has released from their file on Sandy Hook-I'm only on page 233 of 535. So far, I have found tt to be virtually useless, as it is so heavily redacted. What may we learn after 50 years? We shall see-maybe...
Exactly... I don't expect much I think this is mostly, and for lack of a better term, a novelty release. I don't think that there will be any new information that is substantive.
