Just a quick thanks to Rex and Dimitri (few others too) cause DANG!!! I just recently got a 5X Prism Scope with the ACSS reticle and the 4-14X44 ACSS HUD 308 reticle and took them out to shoot today.
Well I will log my complaints first... Ey(e relief of the PA 5X Prism could be longer, as in an inch or more..... Have to collapse stock a setting and hunch forward for best view. And if you have a backup site too heaven forbid.... Mine is all the way back on upper receiver.
OK now that's out of the way, these things make shooting steel stupid easy. I adjusted the Prism for 300 yards on my AR and wow! (75gr Hornady BTHP 24gr Varget LC Brass 223/5.56) I was hitting silhouettes but the gong was eluding me. Once Zeroed up to the gong everything was just point click and and "DING"!!!! Stupid easy.
My .308 Win is a joke to hit stuff out to 300 yards. Head shots please. They had a really small target that I thought was just a silhouette sideways but no just thin side to side (3-6"). LOL. Well that was out 125 or so and just a quick chip shot even without a bag. With a bag on the toe it was select were you wanted to hit it. The Chevron tip is everything they said it was.
OK maybe the Chevron would be nice upgrade on Prism too but not gonna say it was an actual complaint.
