What is that small spotting scope used in the Sniper 101 series? For example episode 23.
Also, what recommendations does everyone have for a small budget spotter?

Jake,
I think you are looking at a Burris 20x50 Compact spotting scope. I don't know if they still make them or not.
When you say "small", do you mean the size of the spotter, small budget, or both?
I started out with a Simmons that I got on sale through Midway USA, but it didn't have a reticle, developed a chip in the objective lens after a year or so of use, and the tripod it cane with was junk. It was about the size of most spotters that you'll see.
Bushnell makes a fairly compact spotter with a reticle, and the glass is pretty decent from what I recall. I also have heard that Athlon has recently come out with a spotter with a ret, with very good glass, but I don't know about the size.
Check out this video, if you haven't already. It might help.
One other thing, the tripod I currently use is a Manfrotto, but it's not very sturdy when the legs are extended to spot while standing, and there's no way I could use it to support a rifle.
I'm pretty sure that there's a post on here about tripods, and probably something on spotters as well.
Good luck with your search, and welcome to the club!

For some reason, the link doesn't seem to be working. It's part 96 in the 101 series.

Small in size..... I have a Simmons 60 power that I'm looking to upgrade from.
