Looking at scopes in the $2000 price point. Which would you choose and why? NOT trying to start a fight between brands but have been looking at the following:
Steiner T5XI 3-15
Nightforce NX8 2.5-20 (not really a fan of but could be happy)
US Optics TS 2.5-20 or FDN 1.8-10 or 3.2-17 series (like the idea of the TS as I could get 2. I do have 2 rifles needing scopes)
Athlon Ares ETR or Cronus (haven't put hands on so not sure about long term reliable)
Scope will be utilized between 2 different rifles at first till second one could be purchased down the road. Primary use of rifle A: hunting with some target fun at distance (300win mag) rifle B: target shooting with some hunting possibilities (yes its a 6.5, had one ever since Ruger put out the predator model) So yes it must be dependable and rugged AF as I will use and possible abuse it but not intentionally just par for the course unfortunately. Will be purchasing the bigger bother of which ever I choose to have matching models on both guns to be familiar with both scope models.
NOT looking for the following:
Vortex
Leupold
Burris
Bushnell
Sig Sauer
