Been wanting to start long range shooting for a few years....ever since I saw Rex's 101 series really.
I have been looking at my options and I really would like to get the .338LM cartridge. Probably the Savage 110 BA.
But some people have told me it's too big a cartridge to learn on. That I should start smaller and work my way up to the large magnum cartridges.
Am I getting in too deep?
I know the cost and yes can afford it.
But really it's the ultimate long range caliber. So I figured learning with the best cartridge is being ahead of the curb. Am I wrong? Do I need to learn on something smaller first?
Thanx for your advise.
And Thanx Rex for your great tutorials and reviews.
