I would like to get into reloading, but when I search the internet for where to start, I get several different recommendations on which book is "The Best!" I may be reloading shotgun shells eventually, but my main focus will be pistol and rifle cartridges. Thanks.

I got started into reloading by having a reloader teach and show me at first. After I learned the basics, I bought a book called Handloading For Competition, by Glen Zediker. It's a good book that goes into great detail about reloading and has helped me keep all my rounds consistent, and has really helped me tighten up my shot groups by teaching me how to tune my rounds to my rifles. Hornady's reloading manual is a good resource for pistols and shotgun shell reloading. Hope this helps!
Thanks, I tend to prefer Hornady in general so that may be one that I get.
First, congratulations on deciding to get into reloading! Second, it might be hard to find some components at the moment, but presses and dies are probably not in too short, supply wise. Powders were pretty iffy a few weeks ago. Any book that gives you info on the nuts and bolts of reloading process should be good for starters-Hornady, Lyman, and Sierra come to mind off of the top of my head. Your best bet is to find someone who has been reloading for a few years, to help you make sound choices, not only on manuals, but on the equipment. I took an inexpensive class that was put on by a local gun shop, and it was a great hands on introduction. Good luck, and enjoy!
I like that idea, I'll see if any of the gun shops will do that.
