Hello everyone, I have some questions about the whiz wheel.
Mostly regarding the ballistic info they require to make it for you when you order it.
I was kind of surprised when they only asked for 1 value for muzzle velocity. I am still working on data for my load, but i know that my muzzle velocity is 2650 @ 41 degrees F according to my magneto speed. and that it will change according to temp which I would assume would mess with data output from the solver.
Do any of you aside from Rex run a whiz wheel?
What temp was the muzzle velocity you submitted to them based off of?
how accurate is your whiz wheel at extended ranges?
Right now I am still gathering data from my rifle and using strelok pro and it has gotten me onto target no problem at 800. shot the next week and it was roughly 10 to 15 degrees warmer and it had me shooting roughly 3 mils high at 1k. Id hate to spend the 50igh bucks on something if its not going to work as well as strelok. eventually Id like to get my own charts made up from actually shooting. sorry for the long post, and thanks in advance. Matt
I don'tt have any experience with the Whiz Wheel, but if I don't comment, I might miss any answers you get! :-) If no one here give you the answer to your question, I suggest contacting the manufacturer and asking them. In my experience, most companies in the industry are very responsive to questions about their products. Post here what you find out, if you please. I'm curious about the answer.
I am very curious as well.
